Replace one person's face with a different face

  1. Open the new face in GIMP. Use the Rectangle Selection tool from the toolbox to select the face.
  2. Edit > Copy.
  3. Open the old face image and Edit > Paste.
  4. Right-click the Floating Layer in the Layers panel and select New Layer.
  5. Adjust the size and rotation of the new face to match the old face.  Change the opacity of Paster Layer to see the layer below for easier positioning.
  6. Use the  Move tool from the Toolbox to align the faces.
  7. Right-click the new face and choose Add Layer Mask and choose Full Opacity White.
  8. Click the Paster Layer icon in the Layers panel.
  9. Select the Paintbrush tool from the Toolbox. Drag the tool across the parts of the new face's image that needs to be removed.
  10. Use the Blur tool to soften rough edges.
